π‘ Use in streaming (OBS / browser capture)
Want VJam in your stream (YouTube Live / Twitch, etc.)? π‘ VJam has no built-in streaming button, so the standard move is to capture the screen in software like OBS. The PROJ method below is the best one.
π₯ Cleanest & recommended: capture the PROJ window
- In Cockpit, [PROJ] opens a visuals-only window (no UI shows, PC only)
- In OBS, pick this PROJ window with Window Capture π just the clean visuals go to your stream, no UI β¨
- π‘ The visuals keep running even if you close Cockpit, so you can hide the UI safely
π₯οΈ Other ways
- Window / display capture: grab the VJam browser window. Easy, but the UI shows if Cockpit is open
- OBS browser source: open VJam's URL directly. But dropping in audio files and using the mic are awkward, so it's more for visuals-only
- β οΈ If it's black, switch the capture method (window β display capture, etc.) β that often fixes it
π About audio
- Play an audio file in VJam and route your PC's sound to the stream (OBS "Desktop Audio")
- Balance mic / BGM / VJam audio on the OBS side ποΈ
- π‘ Make sure the music you stream is cleared / OK to stream
β οΈ Watch the load
OBS + VJam (WebGL) is pretty heavy. If it stutters π
- Go lighter on visuals (avoid heavy presets/effects)
- Lower the stream resolution / FPS
- Close other apps
